The only thing that is glued is the roots glued to the rock. :)

This is one of my favourite pieces by you, for sure. It is gorgeous. The rock and the roots of the tree wrapped around it is just a lovely effect!

Keep an eye out for more trees in the future, btw... I've been playing around with ideas. ;)

Hehe, well I think you are definately on to something! You should get a darker rock with dead flowers all over it and the roots intertwining around the rock. And the petals on the flowers could be all droopy and sad. :(

I'm so morbid! But I am happy :D

I'll think about that idea... though it's a little more your style and less mine. :P

Oh! I really love the colors! I've always wondered, how do you mount them onto the rock?

I used E-6000, mainly at the end of the trunk, with a little bit along the roots. I used to use hot glue, but that doesn't last very well. With E-6000, you get a really good bond. The only downside to it is that it has to set over night, so when I did this one, I used a hammer and pliers in strategic spots to hold the tree in place overnight while the glue settled. I wish I could find a way to mount them onto rocks more invisibly, but with the same bond strength. Perhaps one day I will.

My sister used to do wire sculptures. She had a really cool lizard she made. I can ask her if she knows any other technique for bonding it onto rocks. This tree looks great though, I'm sure the glue isn't noticeable.

Do let me know if your sister has tips. :) I know it's not a huge deal, but it kinda bugs me, you know?

I would LOVE to see a picture of it! I'm curious about other people's wire trees. I may make some trees with different gems. There's some pretty ones out there. :)

Take your time. I'm still looking forward to seeing it. :) Also, I have 2 trees in the work right now. It might be a month or two before they're done, but they're both planned!
