Artist's Comments

This is a bridal bouquet that I've put together as a sample piece for when I have consultations with brides about using french beaded flowers in their weddings. Pictures and verbal descriptions do very little to show the true beauty of this art, so I decided that if I'm going to be able to have this as a buisness, I better make a sample bouquet that they can see, scrutinize, and feel the weight of (they are pretty heavy).

This hand-tied bouquet includes a calla lily, lavender, 2 small roses and 1 large and some fern , all done in 11/0 czech glass beads. I used 3 shades of white to give a more textured, realistic look. I also have 10 swarovski crystals throughout the bouquet to give some extra glitter. I spent somewhere around 30 hours on this bouquet. If you have any other questions about the materials I used or how I constructed it, let me know.

I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, and in the future I hope to get it professionally photographed. I will also be submitting other angles of it in my scraps folder. :)

Very exciting. Again, another fine example of the many markets for your craft. I wish you the best of luck. You are right to be very business-minded in production of these unique creations. Be voracious in your desire to sell your art and you will find yourself in great demand. Your flowers possess 'chi'. That is to say, there is a life in the flowers which is residual from the you, the artist.

I did it almost entirely during my 3-day weekend last week... about 8-10 hours each day. I kept busy! All the flowers were done then, and then the greenery and assembly were done in about 6 hours today... so umm... I dunno exactly... a lot? :P

Thanks! You should see it in person. I'm still trying to learn how to get good shots of these things.

I've seen similar things, they always amaze me :)

I remember one time I went to an art museum and an entire garden scene had all been done in beads.
