oh my god. This was the most painful french-beading project I've done. Holy cow. All the twisting and poking... my fingertips are so torn up! I think it was worth it, though. The tree looks really neat. I don't think the picture does it justice.

I used over 300 feet of dark green floral wire and thousands of tiny seed beads to create this. The entire arrangement weighs about 8.5 pounds, and it took about 12 hours to complete it.

wow...that's really detailed...
I'm not sure that I'd say it was really detailed... the wire just lends itself to this kind of tree really well because of how it creates such a gnarled look.

Ohh, now you've really convinced me to try this. I have a weakness for all things Asian, so a bonsai is right up my alley! This is awesome!

I need to update the picture. I reshaped it (gotta love wire) and now it looks even better! This wasn't that difficult to make, but if you want to make one, be prepared to spend many many hours measuring, cutting, twisting, and getting poked and cut by wire. :P Still, this is my fav piece so far, I think. It really has a cool, modern asian look.
