When I created my "devTown"
[link] I knew I wanted to do a version that would allow the whole dA community to participate, not just the seniors and staff like the original. However, doing the first one made me realize how difficult a larger-scale devtown would be.

I've been contemplating this for about a year, and have finally come up with a solution! ~
A-l-e-x-99 commented "As many people are registered on this website, it's more like a DeviantMegalopolis here than a DevTown!" and it got me thinking... there really are too many people for a town... so how about a city? How about a devApartment building? Now, over a year after my original "devtown," I'm ready to launch this new project.
Here's how it works...

The idea: An apartment building that expresses the personalities and multi-media-ness of dA

The execution: Each participating deviant will create a "window to their world." I will gather the windows and place them into an apartment building setting.

The details: Each window will be 300x200 pixels. Any media can be used, from pixel art to photography, traditional painting to 3D models. Your personal window will display what the inside of your apartment looks like. You can choose what type of room you display, what's going on inside it, what kind of decorations there are, etc. You can have curtains or other window coverings if you like. Be creative!

Submitting: Please submit your window to your gallery or scraps, then send me a link in a note. For convenience, please label the note "devApartment." You may only submit one window, and the window must be submitted by October 13, 2007 (which means you have over a month to complete it).

Samples: My pathetic, but hopefully a little helpful, sample windows are located here:
